Backup O'Clock feature

Keep an earlier copy when a file changes.

Time Vault can preserve the previous destination copy before the current version replaces it, helping when you need an earlier version instead of only the newest file.

Enable it per routine

Choose Time Vault in the routine settings when previous-copy preservation fits the content and available destination space.

Preserve before replacement

When an existing backed-up file changes, the previous copy can be retained before the new version is written.

Plan for added storage

Earlier copies consume more space. Review drive capacity and keep a retention approach appropriate for the size and importance of the selected files.

Clear boundary

What this feature does not promise

Time Vault is not an unlimited version history, cloud sync service, or substitute for a separate disconnected backup. Final retention behavior must match the released product settings.

Selected-file protection

Review supported destinations, system requirements, verification, recovery checks, and the limits of file-and-folder backup before deciding whether it fits your needs.
