Restore and recovery

Recover files on another Windows computer.

The protected files remain ordinary files and can be copied to a clean Windows computer even when the original PC is unavailable.

This image comes from a clean Windows demonstration copy with no customer data. Choose Enlarge screenshot to inspect the application.
1

Connect the backup drive to a working computer

Open the intended physical drive in File Explorer; its drive letter may differ from the original PC.

2

Open the routine’s destination folder

Selected folders retain their structure. Individually selected files appear directly in the destination.

3

Copy files to a new recovery folder

Use Copy rather than Move so the backup remains unchanged while you inspect the recovered files.

4

Read Backup Passport when needed

Turn on Hidden items and open _Backup-OClock → Portable-Recovery → READ-ME-FIRST.txt for saved recovery guidance.

5

Open and verify several recovered files

Confirm the recovered content before replacing originals, deleting anything, or rebuilding routines.
